What Customers see and what google and AI Read

Why me, not an agency

Hi, my name is Yami Bryan. I ran restaurants and nightclubs for 13 years. Covers, P&Ls, slow Tuesdays, the Monday numbers. Then I built a marine tool company called ImpelPro and spent 2 years learning why machines could not find it. I fixed it myself, without rebuilding the site. Now I check business websites, because I am fluent in both sides of that gap.

I am not an SEO agency, and I do not do monthly retainers. I read what Google, Maps, and AI actually see, and I tell you the truth: what is leaking, what matters now, and what can wait. If your site is fine, I will say so.

Proof from my own business

My product site looked fine. Customers could see the tool, the videos, and the price. But most pages did not answer the questions boat owners actually ask, so AI tools had little to quote.

In June 2026, I rewrote my key pages so each one answers one real question in plain words, right at the top. Same website. No rebuild.

Microsoft tracks how often its AI assistant, Copilot, points people to a website as its source. In April and May, it pointed to my site about 12 times a day. In June, after the rewrite, about 20 times a day, and still climbing.

Not every AI tool moved that fast. That is why I keep checking.

People look at your website. Google and AI read it. Those are two different jobs.

Your website can look great to customers and still be hard for machines to read. When that happens, Google, Maps, and AI tools can skip you, describe you wrong, or recommend the business down the street. Usually nobody notices, because the site looks fine.

Not your fault. The rules changed and nobody sent the memo.

Search used to be a list of links. Now it is an answer.

People ask Google, Maps, and AI tools who to call, where to go, and what to buy. Those tools answer with a short list. Sometimes a single name. There is no page 2 in an AI answer.

To put you on that list, the machines need 3 things from you: clear facts, the same details everywhere, and proof that real people trust you. If any of that is missing, outdated, or hard to read, you can be skipped even when you are the best fit.

what the machines check before they recommend you to anyone

AI tools do not recommend you because your site is pretty. They need clear, consistent public signals.

The 3 F's of findability

F

Findable

Can Google and AI reach your important pages?

F

Factual

Do your pages say what you really are, in words a machine can read?

F

Favored

Is there enough clarity and proof for them to recommend you over the next option?

Why trust signals matter more now

Google and AI tools are deciding whether your business is clear, current, and credible enough to recommend. They look across your website, your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your listings, and what other sites say about you. Here is what they weigh:

Clear pages for your services, products, or menu

An About page that shows who runs the business

Current hours, locations, and contact details

Press, awards, and community involvement

Real photos

FAQs that answer real customer questions

Reviews, and how you answer them

The same business details everywhere you appear

None of this requires a new website. It requires knowing what to check.

Questions owners ask

Partly. The foundation is SEO, just not the way it has been sold to you. No ranking promises, no monthly retainer, no reports full of charts. What I check is simpler: can Google, Maps, and AI find, read, and trust your business, and can you prove it. You do not need to learn the technical side to check that.

No. My sharpest examples come from restaurants because I ran them for 13 years, and everyone has eaten in one. The same leaks show up in every industry: unclear pages, missing facts, broken booking paths, and no proof. The Owner's Manual comes in a Business edition and a Restaurant edition.

No. Everything is in plain English for owners. When something is technical, I tell you what it is, who should handle it, and what proof to ask for.

Good. This helps you ask them better questions and see proof of the work you already pay for. A good vendor will thank you.

Yes. The Manual is available now. The training walks through the problem with real examples, so come first if you want to see it before you decide.

No. Nobody honest can promise that. What you can control is the foundation the machines rely on: clear pages, accurate facts, proof, and trust signals.

Any website. WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, Webflow, GoDaddy, restaurant platforms like Toast and Popmenu, or a custom build.

Because it is built for owners. You should be able to ask real questions about your own business without a room full of vendors taking notes.

Yes. Registered owners get the replay by email after the training.
